What is Plant Health Care?

Plant Health care is a holistic approach to plant care that focuses on the health and growth of plants. PHC is taking care of your plants properly. PHC is a practical solution for property owners to offer their plants to prevent them from being taken over by insects, diseases and environmental stress.

Continuous Renewal Service Agreement

For your convenience, your program is CONTINUOUS, meaning you will automatically receive scheduled treatments year after year. However, any service MAY BE CANCELLED AT ANY TIME by contacting us prior to its application. Remember no new services will be performed without your authorization. Thank you for your continued confidence in our professionalism.

Here are some basic programs and services we offer to care for your trees and shrubs:

IPM Inspection 1-8 - A comprehensive plant health-care management program designed to safely and effectively maintain the life of your trees and shrubs. An each visit a technician will inspect and diagnose landscape plantings and treat for any insect or disease problems that may be present. Chemicals are custom mixed on site to provide the most effective, yet most ecologically sound treatment for problems found. A full report is provided as to what was treated on each visit. Many customers do not have all 8 visits and may ”skip” certain visits.

Poison Ivy - A spray application used to control Poison Ivy. Multiple applications are necessary for proper control. Includes cutting of heavy vines on 2nd and 3rd visits. 2 apps minimum in late spring/early summer. May take 2-3 years for complete control. After 3rd year, 1 monitoring visit per year is usually sufficient

Winterproofing
- A spray application of anti-desiccant applied to leaf surfaces to minimize winter moisture loss. Generally applied to broad-leaf evergreens such as: Azaleas, Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and Andromeda. Applied in late fall/early winter. Some years 2 applications may be needed due to weather conditions.

Horticultural Oils

Spring Horticultural Oil
- A spray application used to control various insects and their eggs on a variety of trees and shrubs including: Azalea, Andromeda, Rhododendron, Hemlock, Spruce, Pine, Cherry and Plum trees and shrubs. AKA Dormant Oil. One application done in spring (March-April Early May). Often the first application of the year.

Summer Horticultural Oil -A spray application used to control various insects and their eggs on a variety of trees and shrubs including: Azalea, Andromeda, Rhododendron, Hemlock, Spruce, Pine, Cherry and Plum trees and shrubs. One Application in June/July/Early August.

Fall Horticultural Oil - A spray application used to control various insects and their eggs on a variety of trees and shrubs including: Azalea, Andromeda, Rhododendron, Hemlock, Spruce, Pine, Cherry and Plum trees and shrubs. AKA Dormant Oil. One application done in fall (Late August/Sept/Oct/Nov).
